What is the importance of drivers ed in reducing the number deaths as a result of driving? When in drivers ed you are getting a classroom or one on one setting with a trained instructor who will teach you about driving and give you tips. Eventually before you “graduate” from drivers ed you get the chance to go on the road with a drivers ed instructor before you take your driver’s test. Taking a drivers ed class can help reduce the amount of tickets, car crashes, and injuries. What steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving? -Always buckle up. Everyone in the car needs to be buckled and in a proper seat. -Never drive when you are under the influence or get in the car with someone who is under the influence. -Always have a designated driver. -Take a drivers ed class Have you ever had an experience of being in car accident or have seen your friends or family members driving irresponsibly? -I have been in a car accident twice. Neither accidents were my fault, but one consisted in a new driver with her friends. She was texting while they had the music very loud and she hit her brakes too late and hit the back of my car. Another time that I was in a car accident an older lady maybe in her 30’s was driving way too fast on a back road on her phone not paying attention and as I was turning she slammed into my car totaling it. What steps can you take to be a better and safer driver as well as help others become safer on the road? -Keep your car in tip top shape -Buckle ALWAYS -Do not drive when you are not rested -Do not get on your phone -Keep the music low enough to hear what is going on around you -Minimize all distractions -Get things ready before you start to drive -Prepare
