To Drive, The Safe Way.

The importance of drivers education in the reduction of deaths as a result of dying is that if people don’t take an education course they could do something that they don’t know is wrong. This can cause deaths because someone didn’t know what they were doing. As we grow up we watch our parents and copy the things that they do, even if we don’t realize that we do it. While sometimes this can be a good thing if your parent is a person who uses their phone while driving or doesn’t wear a seatbelt this is something that can be picked up by young children and later copied when they start to drive. If we take an education course on driving this is something that can be mentioned in the course and can be taught so that we can be more careful of the ways that we drive and what we show our kids is ok when driving. Some steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths while driving is, if you go out to a bar it is seen as a normal thing for people who drink to have their keys and cars restricted or picked up later as to reduce drunk driving. Another thing that I think would be beneficial would be to make sure that young drivers are more restricted in what they can do while driving. I believe that this would be beneficial because if younger drivers are more watched while they are driving it can help to make sure that they are following what they know they are supposed to be doing. I have had the experience of being in a car accident. One day I had been about to go and pick up my brother from work and as I was going down the driveway I had backed up and saw that there was some sticks on my car that I did not want to fly off when I got on the road so I parked my car and got out to get the limbs. When I got back in the car I had forgotten to correct my wheels in my car so I had just put the car in drive and was going but since I hadn’t corrected my wheels when I hit the gas I went straight into a tree and part of my house. While I was not injured in the crash I had wrecked my car and gotten very injured because I had been in a rush. Since that wreck I have been more careful in how I drive as that could have been very bad and I could have harmed someone else if they had been in the car with me. I have also seen family and friends drive recklessly at times. When people think that others are not watching they tend to do things that they normally would not do. When going down the country roads of my town one night it had been raining and me and my friends had taken two separate cars so that we could get home easier. Well me and the friend that rode with me decided since it is raining pretty well that we were going to err on the side of caution and go just below speed limit. My other friends were behind us and kept trying to go faster but was being stopped as they were behind us eventually we got to a passing zone and they decided to speed past us gong well over speed limit, but as me and my friend in my car did not feel comfortable trying to keep up with them we stayed at our speed and just decided to meet them where we were going. In this instance my friends were lucky as they did not get in a wreck but their driving had really made it hard for me to want to ride with that friend. Some steps that I can take to be a better driver is to make sure to keep watch of other drivers as sometimes it is other drivers that you need to watch for rather than your own driving. I could also make sure to follow the rules of the road. A way that I could make it safer on the road for others would be to make sure that when I drive I am constantly watchful and that if I notice someone on the road that could be considered irresponsible to call the emergency services to make sure that they can handle it and not engage with them.
