With the signal or alert system that is in vehicles now, it is a monotone sound. This sound does not have any type of volume setting. The signal should get louder as the time passes with no seat belt buckled. This loud beeping or ringing sound cannot be shut off until the seat belt is buckled. The vehicle communication, would be similar to Siri or other virtual assistant that we have in our vehicles now. This communication system would tell you to buckle up in a polite way. As time passes without a driver or passenger buckling their seat belt, the communication system would politely ask a few more times. After a few times of being polite, the communication system would raise its voice. It would be a stern voice as well as getting louder to notify you to buckle up. It may even swear at you. For some drivers or passengers who are hard of hearing or deaf, the signal or alert system may be flashing lights or even the windshield could darken. Along with all of these seat belt signals or alert systems, the vehicle could not even allow a driver to place their key in the ignition or not even push the button for key less entry vehicles. The vehicle would simple not start up.
Drivers and passengers of any type of vehicle should get into the habit of buckling their seatbelt with or without any signals or alert systems. Some drivers or passengers say that the seat belt is uncomfortable. There are many ways and safe ways for it to be comfortable. Some of the ways are having adjustable straps or having seat belt covers or pads. These covers slip right over the belt so that it will be soft on you neck, shoulder, chest, and waist. With any type of seatbelt or alert system we have in our vehicles, just remember to CLICK IT OR TICKET IT!!!!
