The importance of drivers ed as it pertains to reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving is the ability to prevent tragedy by being knowledgeable, prepared, and making good decisions. Steps that can be taken to reduce the number of driving related deaths include education on the effects of distracted driving and stricter distracted driving laws and punishments. I personally have never been in an accident, but have seen friends and family driving irresponsibly. I do my best to set an example for them because I don’t want them to get in trouble, get hurt, or even killed. I try to set the best example to follow because I care.
