Why
I Need This Scholarship to Help Me Pay for College

My
name is Huei-Yi Pan-Dempsey. and I am 42 years old. I am in need of
this scholarship to help me pay for college because I really would
like to continue with my college education at South University online
so I can receive my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. My dream and
goal is to eventually become a Psychologist with my own practice out
of my and my husband Zach’s home to help people in the following
areas: People with mental health issues, men and women going through
domestic violence issues, (since I am a 17 year domestic violence
survivor from my first husband), children going through the divorce
of their mom and dad, (since I went through that with my mom and dad
when I was seventeen years old), and husbands and wives that want to
strengthen and save their marriage. I earned my Associates Degree in
Psychology from Argosy University online on August 20, 2014. They
recently closed, and I transferred over to South University online
since it is the sister school of Argosy University. Before Argosy
University closed, I had been going after my Bachelor’s Degree
Program in Psychology since October 5, 2017. Since transferring over
to South University online, I was told by my Admissions Counselor at
South University that I would need an extra $125.00 dollars a month
in order to continue my education at South University. I do not have
the money because the money I am earning from my three jobs is
currently going to my and my husband’s living expenses. With that
said, that leaves no money left over for school. It would be greatly
appreciated if my essay would be taken into consideration, and I
would truly appreciate being awarded this scholarship because my
college education means everything to me, and going to school online
brings me fulfillment, joy, and makes me happy. Thank you for taking
