My
name is Brady Dillon and I am a senior at Franklin High School. I
will be attending a business college. Specifically operation and
management. A scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies
instead of working to pay for tuition.

Everyone
knows someone who has been killed or seriously injured in a car
accident. This is for good reason because driving around is much more
dangerous than everyone perceives. People become so accustomed to
cars and driving that they forget they are operating massive chunks
of metal moving around very fast very close to other massive chunks
of metal. Most importantly these chunks of gas-powered metal have
families inside of them who will be sorely missed if they died in a
car accident. In most cases, one small twitch in one driver’s arm
could result in a deadly car wreck. It is important to remain
vigilant on the roads and most importantly wear a seat belt. A seat
belt increases your odds of surviving a car accident exponentially. I
know more about the dangers of driving than most people. One of my
jobs is working as a food delivery driver and I am on the road many
more hours than the average person. Everywhere I go I see people
speeding around for most likely no reason. There is little purpose in
accelerating just to stop at a stop sign or speeding ahead to a red
light. I see Countless people distracted on their phone not even
looking up at what lays ahead of them. These people are basically a
ticking time bomb for disaster. Everyone wears seat belts, Keep your
eyes on the road, maintain safe speed and control. Three simple
guidelines that would save countless lives if everyone followed them.
I urge everyone to take these small precautions to drive safely for
themselves, their family and the people around them.
