Driver
education is an important part of being a good driver and doing your
part to keep yourself and others safe from driving accidents. People
continue to repeat foolish actions and make bad driving habits
because they don’t fully understand what's at stake. Proper
knowledge of the dangers and risks when it comes to poor driving
habits, specifically the dangers of the choices of texting and
driving, and driving under the influence, is essential. If people are
simply more aware I believe the scare factor would provide an
incentive to drive safely and negate the poor habits.

Personally
I have only ever been in one car accident but I was so young I don’t
remember anything. However, since my Mother was in the car with me I
have been retold the story. We were stopped at a red light, and there
was one other person in front of us. Apparently there was another
driver coming down the road towards us but was on their phone and
didn’t realize that it was a red light and we were stopped. So,
while going about 45 miles an hour the driver went straight into us
and pushed our car into the person in front of us as well. In the
end, thankfully everybody came out okay but for my mom it was rather
terrifying and traumatic experience.
