A Driver’s Responsibility
Becoming a driver can be an exciting and scary thing for some. As a driver you are taking on a big responsibility. You must be prepared for everything when it comes to driving. It is important to be well educated about being on the road. The more you know, the better you know the road. The importance of driver education is to keep you safe and other people on the road safe. The safety of everyone should be the priority of every driver out there on the road. It is important to know that the lives of people are at risk when an irresponsible person is on the road. Being an educated and safe driver is the first step to avoid car accidents.
To reduce the number of deaths related to driving you can learn more about being on the road. You can take lessons about driving or learn about what you should and should not do on the road. It is important for people to recognize that being on the road is not just about knowing the basics like stopping at a stop sign, stopping at a crosswalk, going on a green light or stopping at a red light. You can keep both hands on the steering while, go at the speed limit, be aware of your surroundings, put your phone away, and no drinking and driving. Put away everything that is distracting and go back to it when you are off the road and no longer driving.
I have never had an experience of being in an accident. I am grateful that I’ve never been in an accident. I do hope that I never have to experience it. I have never seen friends or family members driving irresponsibly. Regardless of that I have seen people speeding and I have seen people do things on the road they should not do, and I have seen people not being aware of their surroundings. Moments like those is where I take notes on what not to do.
I am not a driver yet but before I am, I can learn all about the road. To be a better and safe driver I can put my seat belt on, keep both hands on the steering wheel, put away anything that is distracting and be aware of my surroundings. I can help others become safer on the road by telling what they can do to be a better and well-educated driver. When you are a safe and responsible driver you are not putting at risk the lives of others.
