Each year around 2,500 teenagers ages 13-18 die because of a car accident and around 21% of the car accidents occur because they are distracted by a cell phone.In the United States 10,000 people die each year because of drunk driving and around 38,800 people teenagers and adults have died in 2019 due to a car incident. Driving is a huge responsibility and one of the huge responsibilities is your life and other peoples life that you may put in danger if you don't drive safely.
Each year around 1.6 million people crash because they are distracted with a little square screen called a cell phone. Each year 390,000 people have severe injuries because they were texting while driving or checking their social media and because of that little distraction they are either part of the 1.6 million who die each year because they text and drive or they are lucky enough and survive but are left with severe injuries. Texting and driving is a very dangerous thing to do please think about it before doing it. Is it worth risking your life to answer a text that can wait for later?
