Reverse
psychology. Drivers ed should focus more on the negatives of
driving as opposed to the positives. If driving is constantly shown
in a negative light (car accidents, deaths, lawsuits etc.), then
perhaps those vying for an I.D. will come to terms with themselves
and look at driving from within a different paradigm. Not an “escape
from their parents” for which reckless abandonment is required, but
a simple means of transportation for which many would argue has cons
that greatly outweigh the good in them. Entering the arena with a
sense of cautionary exposure is sure to reduce the apparent risk
participants are due to be involved in.

Of
course, I have never experienced a car “accident” myself. I have
been exposed to multiple close encounters that might have been
avoided if said driver were to drive more responsibly. For instance,
a lot of my family members are often busy and take to looking at
their phone so as not to miss anything important as it pertains to
monetary compensation...however, those such activities lead to
reduced cognitive capabilities in driving and close encounters that I
would rather avoid.

Therefore,
I think it best that the most plausible way to reduce road injury
would be in the way of downloading an automobile safety app. Though
many exist, perhaps one that more forcibly shuts down the normal,
day-to-day activities of a cell phone would encourage more
responsible driving. Or, better yet, an app that simply reads aloud
any important notifications the driver could have missed. Again,
already in the making and installation processes, however, not
fine-tuned enough. Perhaps another preventative safety measure to
take would be installing in cars seatbelts of a nature that
constitutes AI-programming. If they, forcefully so to speak, reminded
passengers to remain buckled up at all times, and moved on their own
so as to forget the qualms of the ever forgetful passenger, then
perhaps preventative measures would need not be taken in the first
place. In all reality though, car-related injuries simply start and
end with the driver. If people are willing to change they will, if
not...they shall have to return back to square one.
