Since the beginning of 2019, there has been 880
Traffic Crashes in Ohio. These crashes may have been prevented had
there been more car awareness. There are two reasons these happen.
First, it may be the influence of drug and alcohol usage. Second, it
could be the fact that people are just being selfish and careless.
The second option is not easy to reverse. We may say all we want to
them that they need to be more careful and patient, but unless they
act on it, try to keep a cool head and see they don’t have to be
first, then it will not be prevented. All we can do is practice these
things ourselves and not be a part of the problem. As for the first
point, there are laws that are put in place to prohibit such
behaviors. It is only the individual’s fault that he was not sober
enough to avoid the collision. All we can do to avoid such collisions
is to continue to be sober, follow the laws of drug and alcohol
usage, and be selfless in such situations.
