Common
Sense

The
importance of drivers ed is to teach skills, knowledge and
attitude to those behind the wheel. It is important because it will
prevent deaths among teens and pedestrians.

The
first step into reducing the number of driving related deaths is not
being under the influence of drugs and liquor. Next, make conscious
decisions of your well being. Finally, be defensive with your timing
and doing what’s
right while no one’s
looking.

On
a chilly November morning, like any other day I thought was the same
as any other day. Wake up, shower, eat, and finally head out. While
walking to the bus stop, It seemed life was simple until that moment.
While I was crossing the curve, I had my full attention to cross the
sidewalk to where the bus stop was. At that moment, I was hit trying
to get on the other side. I knew what I had to do at that moment. I
made sure the accident wasn’t
a hit-and-run. While getting off the hood of the car i knocked on the
drivers window continuously to get my full attention. I was
disappointed in him that he didn't get out of the car to check if i
was doing well. I took the steps of being a victim of being hit by a
car. I got the drivers license plate number and insurance. I did make
it to the bus but i know i had to report the accident at that moment,
my body was still in shock when I got into the bus. Thankfully an
unknown stranger comforted me and calmed me down. Later that day I
went to urgent care to get checked out physically, but mentally I'm
still at that moment when I got hit.

If
I could give them one piece of advice to any driver that is starting
to drive or been driving for 20+ years, I would tell to use common
sense, if they’re
in a rush to get to work or to their business, their are people who
love them and want to see them the next day, don't drive arrogantly,
drive proficient.
