For instance, making sure you are in the right state of mind to drive is one prime key factor. The obvious known to many is not to drive under the influence of any type of drug or alcohol. Taking medication should also be something to consider as well, as some have side effects that have the ability to cause drowsiness. However, one aspect that is often disregarded is, if you are mentally and emotionally stable to get behind the wheel. Take the number of hours you’ve slept into consideration, and make sure that your eyes and mind will not fade away from the road while driving. Making sure that you’re calm enough to drive around and follow the signs is important as well since others also depend on you for safety while on the road. Even if you have your driver's license this doesn't necessarily equate to you being a good driver. Although you may know the rules and regulations, what truly is important is if you properly execute and follow them. Although I have never personally experienced a car crash, I've seen enough driving on the road to understand the extent of damage it can cause. Driving responsibly is not only a matter of keeping your car in a good condition but keeping your life as well. While traveling with friends or family never shy away from an opportunity to caution them and always be mindful by reminding them of the importance of drivers’ education and the surreal consequences of it if not followed.

Your characteristics in the way you carry yourself on the road matters not only to yourself but to others as well.
