Education Essay
Drivers
education is highly important with the increasing use of cars
throughout our society. It is the number one mode of transportation
across the world. It is also one of the highest causes of death. Many
people drive uneducated which puts others at risk, but if we could
make sure all drivers are properly educated maybe these high numbers
could be lowered.
When
we think of ways to educate drivers like me, I think of my own
process to becoming a driver. I didn’t go to a school I took a
parent taught course online and watched a few videos. I went in took
a test and was free to go off into the world and drive away. I
realize now that it would’ve been more effective towards me if I
took an actual class or was taught about being safe on the road in
school. I have almost been in a serious accident but luckily, I was
aware of what to do, and since then it has made me realize the
dangers around me while driving. One thing that should change is the
awareness brought to teens in schools it should start in middle
school, so they know the dangers of the road. Also, we should start
implementing courses more throughout high schools and advertise them
more so they would become normal amongst students to take these
classes. As of 2015 only 53% of students take a drivers ed course
approved by the state. The more we show young drivers the dangers of
driving and educate them on being safe while doing it the more aware
they will become, and it will stick with them throughout their lives.
I’ve
continued to take steps to become a safer driver I rarely unless
necessary use my phone while on the road, I try to stay aware while
on the road. I hate backseat driving, but I do it to some of my
friends because, I see how reckless they can be such as one who never
uses her signals. I simply try to make others aware of what puts
others in danger around us on and off the road.
Transportation
is highly important across our society. Cars are the number one way
we get from one place to another. We shouldn’t have to worry about
whether someone will make it to each destination or not because of
the risk of reckless driving. With so many people on the road, and so
many of them uneducated, we should make sure all drivers are properly
educated so all people can drive safely with no worries.
