Driver education is an essential aspect for students learning to drive and be part of the community on the road. Drivers ed allows students to know and understand the rules of the road to ensure they will be prepared to drive as individuals. Drivers education can help reduce the number of driving deaths and teach students how to become safe drivers who are prepared for many situations that may come with being in the car.
Drivers’ education is essential to reducing the number of deaths that can come as a result of driving. When students learning to drive for the first time can understand the rules of the road and what actions to take in various situations, new drivers will be able to understand better what is happening around them, and they will be able to adapt to the situation. When all drivers on the road understand the rules and what actions should not be taken, it allows everyone to be safer while on the road and in their cars, allowing for fewer deaths from irresponsible drivers not following or knowing the rules.
Steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving are teaching all students the rules of the road, making sure they understand and abide by them before going out on the road and making sure they understand that their actions will not only affect them and the people in their car, but everyone else that is around them and interacting with them on the road. Steps to make sure new drivers understand the rules and know the consequences will allow those students to be prepared while driving to ensure there will be fewer accidents and deaths from common mistakes on the road.
I have never personally been in a car accident, although I have been in one that happened outside of my house. The one I had seen happened late at night with a drunk driver; he crashed into two different cars. One car had no injuries and barely got clipped, while the other one ran partially off the road, and everyone in the car had injuries, including broken bones in both legs. The drunk driver died from the crash, and fortunately, no one else died but left with some serious injuries that took months to over a year to recover from. My family members also drive irresponsibly by speeding, holding the steering wheel with their knees, texting, and weaving between traffic on the interstate. These instances have been very common and unpleasant, which also reminds me why I must take care while driving. Not only does my driving affect whoever is in the car with me, and it will impact our lives if there is a crash, but it can affect others around me; it may not interfere as much with my life, but it may seriously impact someone else’s.
Steps that I can take to be a better and safer driver and to help others become safer include understanding the rules and laws wherever I am located, paying close attention to those around me and keeping fast reflexes, avoiding being distracted while driving even in low populated areas, not participating in road rage actions, and interacting with other drivers responsibly. Understanding the rules and laws where I am located will help me understand what actions will be acceptable and make interacting with others around me safer. I will also be able to educate others who may not know the rules and let them know so that they can become safer drivers. Paying close attention to those around me and keeping fast reflexes will allow me to watch what problems may arise from how others act on the road and how reckless they may be. Paying attention will allow me to be prepared to take any actions necessary, and keeping fast reflexes will allow me to take those actions when needed. Avoiding distractions will allow me and other drivers to concentrate on the road and any circumstances that may arise, along with making better decisions on actions to take. Avoiding road rage and trying to calm situations will keep reckless driving down and prevent possible crashes from being distracted and acting recklessly against others. Finally, interacting with other drivers responsibly will keep everyone safe on the road by allowing for calm interactions and driving, keeping safety a top priority with everyone participating in safe driving actions.
Overall, safe driving first comes from understanding the rules that must be followed while on the road and taking actions that will allow for the safest driving interactions with others. Drivers ed allows students to learn the information they need to know, and understanding steps that can help you become a better driver will make driving safer and more pleasurable for those involved.
