Driving,
Driving, and More Driving
Drivers ed is
really important for teens throughout the entire world. Most teens
start at the age of 14, sometimes 15. Drivers ed is basically
learning how to drive, the morals of driving, and getting knowledge of
road signs and other driving rules. This can help prevent car
accidents, road rage, and failure to understand the basic skills of
driving. Driving Education helped me learn things I didn't know
existed about the just driving. For example, My mom signed me up for
driving school around the age 14, so I would be ready for my 15th
birthday. Driving was big for me. I was excited, yet nervous at the
same time. In Driving school, I learned about road rage, drinking and
driving, driving under the influence, and how those things could harm
yourself, as well as, other people. I was taught how to parallel
park, what driving signs meant, and the basic instruments in the car;
like the signal, windshield wipers, emergency brake and signals,
safety of the seat belt, and airbags. After 4 to 5 weeks, I was ready
to get my Drivers Permit. I passed! Taking Drivers ed helped
me to get where I am today. I have never been in a wreck but came
very close to it and because of drivers ed I knew how to
maneuver out of that bad situation. Just because Drivers ed
helped me learn the things about driving doesn't mean it helps
everyone like one of my teammates. It was a rainy day in September of
2018. She had been driving in the rain with a friend I had also knew.
The had gotten in a terrible car accident and died. It was a sad day
for my entire basketball team and community. Maybe, she had been
driving to fast and because it was raining it was hard for them to
stop. Maybe, she had been distracted my her phone. Maybe, she had
been sleepy. Maybe it wasn't her fault. There could have been
numerous amount of things that could have happened. Driving school
taught you that driving fast while raining was going to end in a
disaster, being on the phone was the main reason most teens died in
car crashes, and being sleepy and driving and like walking around
blind in a fire. Drivers ed tries to instill good things to
happen and the bad things to not happen, and it is your choice rather
or not you choose to listen and do the right thing. Drivers ed
