Have you ever had an experience of being in car accident or have seen your friends or family members driving irresponsibly

My name is Toluwani olowe, one experience that really changed the way I think about driving happened when I was riding in the car with my sister. Before that day, I knew people always said to pay attention while driving, but I never really understood how quickly one small distraction could turn into a serious accident. Thankfully, everyone was okay , but the crash taught me an important lesson that I will never forget. It made me realize that driving is a huge responsibility that even a few seconds of not paying attention can have lasting consequences.

The accident happened on route 22 while I was in the car with my sister. We just came back from church and we're on our way to a cookout. We were driving when we saw someone we knew from our church instead of staying focused on the road. My sister started playing around and interacting with them while they were both driving. At first it seemed harmless and I didn't think anything bad would happen. Everything was happening so fast and it felt like a normal day then in just a few seconds everything changed. My sister lost control of the car and crashed. I remember feeling scared and shocked because I had never been in a car accident before. One moment we were driving normally and the next we had a crash after everything stopped. I was relieved to find out that everyone was okay even though nobody was seriously hurt, the accident still caused a lot of damage. The axle on my sister's car broke, and the car was damaged so badly that it is still out of commission today. Seeing the damage made me realize how dangerous the situation really was.

after the accident, I kept thinking about how easily it could've been worse we were lucky that no one was injured because accidents on busy roads like Route 22 can end very differently if another car has been closer or if we have been driving faster someone else could've been seriously hurt or even killed that thought stayed with me for a long time. It showed me that being lucky once does not mean taking risk is okay.

Another thing I learned is that driving is not right. It's a privilege and it shouldn't be taken lightly. In result of her playing on the road totaled the back of the other person's car. And almost demolished hers in pieces. Because of this experience, I promised myself that when I drive, I will stay focused on the road. I will avoid distractions. Keep both hands on the wheel and remember what happened to my sister's car. I also want to encourage my friends and family to drive responsibly. If I ever notice someone driving carelessly, I will speak up because I know how quickly a fun moment is. Turn into a frightening one.

Since that day, I have looked at driving differently. Every time I get into a car I think about how fast everything happened and how lucky we were that everyone was okay that experience reminds me not to text limit conversation or jokes, as it is not worth risking someone's life, I know accidents can happen to anyone, but many of them can be prevented by staying focused and making smart decisions as I get older And think more about my future I want to remember this lesson every time I get behind the wheel driving responsibly is one of the best ways to keep myself the passengers and everyone else on the road safe as we all are trusting we know what to do. I always assumed accidents happen to other people not someone in my own family or even me after being in the car crash I realize that no one is immune to making mistakes that experience made me appreciate how important it is to stay alert and never take safety for granted it also made me more aware as a passenger because now I pay attention to how people are driving instead of assuming everything will be fine

Looking back, I am grateful that everyone walked away from the accident without injuries, even though the car was badly damaged and is still out of commission cars can be repaired and replaced people's lives cannot the accident was a scary experience, but it taught me one of the most valuable lessons I have ever learned I don't understand the responsible driving is not just about following rules. It's about protecting yourself and everyone else on the road. This experience will stay with me for the rest of my life and will always remind me to drive carefully and responsibly.
