On a calm, sunny afternoon, I was driving with my aunt. Everything felt in control. However, my aunt decided to speed up her car after a driver agitated her. The mood was chaotic around the road in the vehicle. Everything in the car started to shake around as if a person in a car was getting away from the bad guys trying to take their lives. The water in the cup slouched around and started spilling over the carpet. I was pretty uncomfortable knowing that this driving mood wasn’t every day, so I asked my aunt what was happening, and she complained about the guy behind her cutting loose around her. Eventually, the cop pulls around and flips his red and blue lights on. I got a huge jump scare because I felt he was coming for us. When my aunt got pulled over, I thought she was going to jail, but the cop seemed pretty lenient and gave her a ticket.
In our society, everyone has a destination to reach. However, sometimes the destination is far and requires an automobile, but a driver’s education is necessary to drive one. There are millions of accidents and masses of deaths caused by drivers behind the wheel. Soon, we can lessen the number of casualties and accidents with the increased rigor of driver’s education. I am concerned about scrolling through TikTok and watching nonqualified people pass their driver’s test with their too-lenient instructors. These people have a great deal of cars they have borrowed. With these irresponsible people, the driving environment on the road will constantly be endangered.
Because there are hundreds of thousands of accidents, driver’s education is mandated. Millions of teens don’t know how to drive, and they may not have anyone responsible enough to teach them how to drive, so they must learn from a trustworthy teacher. The teens need to know all the rules that apply to moving to use them in confusing situations that they may find themselves in. Without knowing these driving rules, the driver in the car endangers all the other drivers on the road. Furthermore, to prevent teen drivers from becoming a liability, they should be strictly tested for driving. The more the future drivers of America know, the safer the roads will be.
With all the potential danger looming around, some unique features should be mandated to be included in every current car driving on the roads and every vehicle about to be released out of a shop to people who drive it on the streets.
With the new addition of alert police of driving speeds at any time, there will be less willingness to drive recklessly on the roads. People will mind their speed more often as they drive to be sure they don’t cross too far over the speed limit. With fewer people going over the speed limit, more people will have control over their vehicles, especially if it’s a day when the roads are slippery. The more people use a safer driving style, the less people will suffer from road accidents.
Furthermore, introducing devices where police can lock the speeds of their target hypothetically can save thousands of lives. With the invention, people are rendered unable to run away from the police whenever the police want to stop their target from an attempt to get away. The new device will cause a chain effect, causing the rest of the crimes involved in cars to go down. Less chance of getting away from cops when they are in pursuit will make people reconsider committing crimes with a vehicle involved, making the roads safer for drivers to roam on. With this new device in place, we would nourish a safer driving environment.
The driving space is not entirely safe. Nevertheless, there are steps I can take to make driving safer for others as I drive on the road. There are hundreds of thousands of wrecks, so when I’m driving, whenever I see a wreck happening immediately, I could notify the first responders that a wreck occurs because not most people are willing to take the first step. They always will think that someone else will take the step. As a result, the first responders could get the news later than they should have. They would have less time to tend to a person from a deadly injury inflicted upon them. Therefore, as a fellow driver, I should be willing to take the first step as a leader so that others will be willing to stick out their hand to help others.
Driving is not to be sullied with. The dangers lurking and waiting to be triggered by irresponsible drivers. These lurking dangers signify the importance of taking precautions with driver education by toughening up the requirements to prevent the unqualified from behind the wheel. We can give the police more privileges over the vehicles on the roads to protect us more efficiently. Finally, we residents can take the steps to become better drivers ourselves, driving safely to make our environment less prone to accidents.
