When you first get your driver's license it can be exhilarating, but an inexperienced driver can also make many mistakes that could end up fatal. That is why I am here to answer a few questions. The first question that will be answered is the importance of driver education in reducing the number of deaths due to driving. The next question will be what steps should be taken to reduce the number of deaths while driving. The third question will be about a family member who drives irresponsibly and how to stop people from doing more of that. The last but not least question that will be answered is what steps I can take to be a better and safer driver on the roads. Even though not everyone will listen to what I have to say about driving safely, the only way to start to make the roads safer to drive on is by starting with myself.
Why is driver education so important in helping to stop roadway deaths? Driver education can help save lives in many ways but only two will be covered. One of the ways that it can help save lives is by teaching what the rules are on the road and what the consequences are if you break the rules. Instead of waiting until you are 18 and do not have so many driving hours and little to no driver's education, and do not know as much as someone who took a driver's education. The second way that driver's education can help in reducing roadway deaths is, when you go to driver's education you get the chance to meet your local law enforcement and hear what they have had to deal with in the fatal crashes. If you are respectful you would not want to put those people through that.
What are some things that can happen to help prevent more roadway deaths? There are many ways that this can happen, but this paper will only look at three. The first is by making everyone take driven education no matter what age they are. This will help by making people know the rules and help them see the consequences of reckless driving. The second thing that would help is to make the punishment for reckless driving worse. If you make the punishment worse for the people who drive recklessly do not want to pay for the ticket or spend the jail time. The third thing that can happen to help stop roadway deaths is expanding the police force. People tend not to want to do things that they are not supposed to do when a police officer is around. So, if we funded the police more instead of defunding them the number of road deaths would decrease.
The third thing that is getting covered is if I have seen family or friends drive recklessly. My brother-in-law is a road hog. He does not care about anyone but himself on the roads. He will pass a whole line of cars when there is oncoming traffic but he has not gotten caught because there is not enough of a police force. He moves at an excessive amount of speed and when you confront him about it he says that he knows what he is doing and he will not crash.
The final question that will be covered is what steps can be taken to become a better and safer driver and to help others become better and safer drivers. The first way that you can become a safer driver is by following the road rules. If you follow the rules people around you will see that and see that being a safe driver pays off. The second thing that you can do is if you got into a car accident you can tell people about it and help them see what the consequences can be and that it will not only affect the person they killed but the family and friends of the victim.
Even though when you first get your license it can be a lot of fun, just be careful and remember that more lives than yours are in your hands than just yours.
