In the Driver's Seat
Driving is something that needs to be taken responsibly. Someone can easily act childish or immature in the car and hurt themselves or someone else. The importance in drivers education is to teach a young driver on how to take driving seriously. Drivers ed can help reduce the number of deaths caused by teenagers in cars.
Multiple steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving. One step can be to keep your car in top condition to help with the risk of an accident. Another step would be to not drink and drive or to drive under any other influences. Drive smart and be cautious of other drivers. You should always be aware of your surroundings and try to eliminate any distractions around you as this can help keep you safer in the driver's seat.
Within my years of life, I have been in three automotive accidents. My first one was with my older sister she was driving irresponsibly with people in the back of the vehicle. She was trying to show off to someone in the back of the vehicle. She rolled the vehicle and it was on top of a hill. If she had taken drivers ed, she would have known to eliminate all distractions. My second crash was with my brother and younger sister. There was a fire by our house so all the planes would be flying by. Well my sister yelled “look it’s a plane look.” My brother looked back to see the plane and the next thing I remember was we were upside down I had a fat lip along with a bloody nose. Whenever I am with my parents or older sister in a vehicle they are always texting and driving. They also never have their seat belt on while driving.
Some steps I can take to become a safer driver or to help others become a safe driver would be to tell them about the responsibilities they need to take as a driver. Or to tell them the risk they are taking getting behind the wheel. In conclusion going behind the Is a huge responsibility that needs to be taken seriously you could help save a life.
