Knowing how to drive is an extremely important thing that teenagers or adults should know. Before I got my license I was excited that I was finally going to drive everywhere without someone correcting me for everything but, I was also scared of the road because of many people reckless driving. Where I live a lot of young teens crashed while racing and sadly lost their lives because they weren’t careful enough. I know many stories from people I know that have crashed awfully. Many of those experiences I have learned from so many lessons and not do things I shouldn’t be doing while driving. Driving on the road is a very big responsibility because not only your risking your life but, you also risking other people’s life. The importance of drivers ed in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving is to educate yourself on how to properly drive. Taking the written exam and the behind the wheel test is very important because you see you can do and what you can’t do. Yes, a couple of years ago my uncle’s family were going on a trip to South Carolina so, it was going to be a very long trip. They were very tired because none of the drivers have gotten much sleep. When my uncle daniel was going to switch lanes without the blinkers this car that was going 90mph crashed onto my uncle’s car. Daniel’s car was flipping all over the freeway when the car finally stops. Daniel’s and my aunt came out without any injures but, their kids came out with broken legs and broken hands because they were not wearing any seatbelts. The irresponsibly that they did wrong was that my uncle Daniel did not use the blinkers, the other male’s car was going above the limit, and my cousins weren’t wearing seatbelts. There are many steps on what I can take to be a better and safer driver such as seatbelts are always a first, no phones while driving, always be careful while driving because the other driver might not be careful out there, keep your distance, maintain control of the wheel when the tires blow out, and always keep your eyes on the road, and both intersections.
