I am sad to say that as an 18 year old the closest thing I have
gotten to practice driving in a safe manner is in ( even
then I always slipped on so many bananas while driving and ended up
being eighth place). I guess isn’t really practice
because I always speed so I can be first place. I enjoy going so fast
as a young person it gives me an adrenaline rush. However as I grew
older I became more aware that maintaining speed is very important
for my own safety. Living in Brooklyn, New York made me realize how
difficult driving is. Not only is it hard due to the other drivers
around you, but there are also many pedestrians on the roads and
sidewalks unlike when I drive in Luigi’s Mansion. A countless
number of Americans die each year solely by driving or being impacted
by a driver.
For the most part a person who is educated has more knowledge which
allows them to live their lives in a better manner. Thus it is very
important to be informed, especially when it comes to using a car so
we can live our lives in the best way possible. Drivers ed
teaches people the rules to follow to ensure the safety of themselves
and others.
At times large numbers can alarm the general public, for example a
high unemployment rate can be very scary to an average person.
Therefore if we let people know that more Americans in the United
States die from driving than being in combat in wars like the
Afghanistan war we may be able to make a shocking change. Driver
education allows people to obtain very useful information from rules
to regulations that must be followed.
Young teenagers should begin to recognize signs on the road.
Highschools should require teens to take drivers ed classes.
These classes would be very beneficial since they would be mandatory
and unavoidable. It is important to know about something before
utilizing it or putting it in effect. Simply recognizing signs on the
road can put a young child far ahead of the others because they have
more knowledge.
Three years ago I was part of a car accident that involved two moving
cars and three parked cars. I still can’t really verbalize that
event because it terrifies me. The woman who crashed into us ran a
red light and was speeding.
After that car accident I came to the conclusion that driving can be
hazardous. As a driver I believe you need to have patience. As well
as you should be a very attentive person. One major step I will take
while driving is to never use my phone. If you take your eyes off the
road for even one minute something can go wrong. In contrast to Mario
Kart, in real life when you crash your car there is much damage done
and there are no special powers to enhance your driving.
