Volunteering
for those who need our help and those who might not,
make
us become a better person. Some people might feel the necessity to
participate as volunteers in certain events because it will help
them
with
their future goals. Volunteering is something that has to come from
the
heart;
look for something that you
will love to do and stick with it.
Even
if we fail we have to keep on going.With this in mind, I have chosen
the
Journeys
Program in order to help other people improve themselves and become
better by providing them with my knowledge. The motivation, type of
commitment, and willingness to put time and effort into the volunteer
committee are key variables in defining the committee's direction and
effectiveness. The commitment that we must have as human beings,
that
we should apply on a daily basis,
is to try to help other people to face the problems they have to deal
with. Some people find volunteering difficult:
simply helping
others
despite
how
they
have
been raised or
educated.
However, it is never too late to share happiness
and
feel proud about
your
actions.
During
my
one-year experience,
I managed to get ------- hours
with
enough effort and desire. My responsibilities as a volunteer have
been to check that everything is fine, to make sure that nothing is
missing,
and
most importantly,
to help people with the activities.
During
my volunteer time, my biggest challenge has been dealing
with
many students who have differing
opinions.
I have also tried to
have everything within my
reach,
in order to achieve what I want. The biggest satisfaction I have had
as
a
volunteer was
to
see people’s happiness and receive respect and kindness in
return.
From my position as a volunteer, I have learned to value and take
advantage of every
moment,
since life is usually very short. My professional goals align with
this voluntary approach,
due
to the fact
that I
would like to be part of many events and help people in anything they
would like to.


Ultimately,
we should all commit ourselves to be part of an event as a volunteer
in order to help others and improve ourselves as human beings.
