that could've been easily avoided if the driver responsible had just
been paying attention. This is a reality for many people in America
today. Thousands of people are killed in car accidents each year. And
the leading cause of these accidents? Not practicing safe driving.

Driver
education is key to reducing the number of deaths that are caused by
driving. Drivers ed not only teaches someone how to drive
properly but can also help educate them on how to prevent accidents.
Driver’s not only need to be taught how to prevent accidents but
also the importance of preventing accidents and how important it is
to practice safe driving. If driver’s know exactly what is at stake
when they get behind the wheel and they know how to drive safely they
are more likely to practice safe driving than those who are not aware
of what is at stake and were never taught the importance of safe
driving.

There
are many steps that can be taken to reduce the amount of deaths
related to driving. One is to reduce as many distractions as you can
while driving. This includes putting your phone on silent and out of
reach, not messing with the radio, and not trying to multitask while
you are driving. Another step would be to drive at safe speeds and
always use turn signals. Always driving the speed limit is a great
way to practice safe driving. Driving at safe speeds you have more
control of the vehicle and are less likely to get in an accident.Turn

I
personally have experienced a car accident several years ago. Not
only have been in an accident I have also witnessed my friends and
family drive irresponsibly. I have been in the car with my friends
while they were changing music on their phone or texting and not
paying attention to the road. It’s a serious problem and one that
should not be ignored.

I
personally can also improve my driving. I can be a better driver but
not change the radio station while I am driving, always using my turn
signal, driving the speed limit, and limiting other distractions I
may have while driving. Driving education is crucial to ensure people
are driving safely and know how to help prevent car accidents.
Everyone can be better at practicing safe driving.
