Promoting Safe Driving

Driver education is important as much for the perception it cultivates as it is for the intricate laws and road rules. Unless one forcibly makes road etiquette and laws a habit, there can be much room for error. Accidents occur because of huge gaps in the knowledge of road rules. Driving classes introduce students to the concept of defensive driving. Defensive driving means being aware of potential pitfalls and knowing how to deal with them. This in turn helps to a large degree in keeping mishaps at bay.
In addition, it addresses the risks associated with distracted and impaired driving. For example, student education programmes often address the risks of mobile device use, drinking, unusual states of consciousness, and attentional lapses. Emphasizing these modern risks might contribute to a safety culture of mindfulness.
In order to further lower the number of deaths caused by driving, a multi-faceted solution is required. A primary solution to this problem is to maximize the efficiency of driver’s educational programmes. These courses should be continually evolving to keep up with current traffic laws, new technologies, and updated safety procedures. By incorporating real world driving scenarios as well beforehand, drivers’ educational programmes can better prepare future drivers to be safe and efficient on the road.
Furthermore, more strict enforcement of traffic rules should be enforced. It is really important for the government in a country to conduct more intensive law enforcement units which will discourage people from becoming irresponsible drivers. More severe penalties and regular checkpoints will definitely balance the scales and will allow you to drive in a more safe manner.
Public awareness campaigns about driving deaths play another important role, which is to educate people about the danger of irresponsible driving and how to keep safe on the road. Using different media to reach mass audiences helps to drive home the idea that safe driving is everyone's business.
Personally, I probably should have done a few things differently to avoid things becoming physical, but all in all I probably was overreacting as I was preoccupied with work related things due to my employment status. On September 19, 2021, I was involved in a single vehicle accident of which I hydroplaned completely, flipped, rolled eight times and landed in a shed. I had my seatbelt on that thankfully saved my life, I was not on my phone, but I was going too fast for road conditions in the weather but I had limited practice in driving in rain. Georgia State Patrol showed the first of many arrived to the scene and told me that I was a walking miracle and lucky to be alive simply let alone that I walked away from the scene of the accident, the car accident left me unable to walk, or turn my head I couldn't even bend over for a week after that. I even had to go do physical therapy at least 3 times a week for a while.
To this day, this car accident was the closest I’ve come to death. There was a guide wire that saved me from my front windshield wrapping around the power poll, a seat belt that saved me from flying out of my car, and the day before my accident a couple that owned the shed I crashed into had just moved all of their heavy machinery out of the shed. I still suffer trauma from the wreck. It’s why I have a bad back, neck and knee pain. It’s why I have PTSD and why I’m afraid to drive in the rain.
Overall, driver education plays a great role in reducing the number of deaths from driving because it teaches people the right way to drive. Moreover, the government can reduce this international problem by driving an education program. Overall, we don't need to die on the road just because we do not know how to drive. We should be properly educated and the government should support the private institutions to reach the expectation. We can drive safely and forwarded together in a safe way by following the law.By agreeing on exchanging with other uni students in youtube channel , we can share the information and promote public awareness. It might help reduce the driving-accidents that may occur. We are the community who gets the benefit of safe driving.Of course , driving is not a dangerous activity if you know how to do it properly . Sometimes we are the reason why those accidents occur on the road. I believe if we fully support the institutions and practices to teach people to drive properly , money spent will be worth it. For a few costs , we get transport without any problems.
