When a person finally gets behind the wheel of a car, he or she should be prepared for the responsibility that comes with operating a motor vehicle. There is basic information that will help drivers get started, as well as some things to avoid doing in order to be safer on the road.

A car can be a person’s first sense of freedom and while ,yes, they are fun and useful, they can be very dangerous if not driven properly. Maintaining a vehicle is important and can teach a driver about the vehicle. Always make sure to have the proper amount of fluids in all of the reservoirs. It is illegal to drive uninsured in Oklahoma, so find an insurance company and plan that works. Do not ever drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It significantly alters the ability to react and make proper judgement.

Driving under the influence is the cause of twenty eight percent of all fatal car accidents in the U.S. Driving tired is also very dangerous. If a driver is drowsy, avoid driving or pull over to a safe area and sleep before continuing. Speeding can be tempting in a powerful car, but it is not rewarding.
