Safe
Driving Tips

Here
are some simple driving tips and dangerous driving statistics to keep
drivers, their families, and their friends safe!
Adjusting
a seat is very important before starting the engine. The important
reasons why a driver should have the car seat adjusted correctly are
low chances
of
injury if the airbag inflates, less risk of damaging knees on the
steering column in a front end crash, and ability able to see blind
spot better (www.drivingstatistic.com).
Adjusting
mirrors is another safe driving tip. Adjusting the mirror helps
drivers avoid these horrible statistics. 840,000 blind spot accidents
occur each year in the United States ending in 300 deaths a year
because of some mirror adjustments or not checking blind spots
(www.safedrivingtips.com).
Not
wearing a seatbelt is probably the main reason why people die during
an accident. It is important to always wear a seatbelt. My driver’s
ed teacher always told my classmates and me that, “It’s not if
you get in a wreck. It’s more of when you get in a wreck, and when
that day comes, you are going to survive the wreck because you wore a
seatbelt, or are you going to be another statistic”. Almost 56% or
16,836 people, of the 30,251 wrecks die because they did not wear
their seatbelts. Drivers should always pay attention especially when
there are stop lights; this year 939 people died because they
ran a stoplight. Practicing safe driving helps drivers be able to
keep family, friends, and themselves safe from the dangers of the
road (www.howtodrive.com).
Paying
attention to driving tips and statistics keeps family, friends, and
drivers safe from the dangers of the road.
