Most of us can’t
wait to turn sixteen because once you turn sixteen you are eligible
to your first real freedom and first taste of independence. When it
comes time for you to get your license you become very anxious and
excited to the point that you might not necessarily think about the
rules of the road and their importance to your safety. Some people
might take the full drivers ed courses while other might only
take the required drug and alcohol courses but who says those kids
necessarily pay attention while they are there? Some believe they
already know everything so they are only there because their parents
are making them go but it is quite important for you to pay attention
in those classes for your own safety and the others around you. Once
you finally get your license you might find it less important to
remember all the things you learned in drivers ed but it is
actually important for you to remember it because what if it’s
raining and you hydroplane but don’t remember what to do? Then you
will end up endangering yourself and others around you. It would be
a good thing for the drivers ed teachers and parents for
kids to refresh their memory every so often by reading the driver’s
manual or even looking up something you don’t remember.

Personally I have
never been in a car accident but I have seen many irresponsible
drivers out of the road and it scares me. I could be sitting at a
light and I will watch as someone will blow the red light but then
almost hit someone else who had the right of way and I get scared for
them but it just shows that you always have to be careful and on your
toes.

A big thing now a
days is I see so many people post videos on social media of them
driving and I think that is irresponsible and ridiculous because you
aren’t paying attention to the road and are endangering yourself
and others around you, for what? Just to show everyone how fast
you’re driving or that you have your license? It is not worth the
potential, very bad outcome. People need to be more responsible with
their actions when it comes to driving whether it is putting the
phone down, slowing down, paying attention, being more cautious or
even brushing up on the rules of the road; whatever precautions
someone personally needs to make sure they themselves are a safer
driver will surely reduce the amount of deaths caused on the road.
