Driving occurs
all over the world and across all countries. Not only does driving
happen all over the world but the consequences with driving happen
everyday and all across the country. Consequences, such as the cost
of someone's life. From strangers to your own family, it could happen
to anyone. Fortunately, there are many ways to better your driving
and help correct other people's driving.

While growing up
I didn't have the best examples of safe and responsible drivers.
Individuals such as my sister and father as well as even my
grandmother wouldn't wear a seat belt, texted and made calls while
driving, and many other irresponsible duties while driving. This led
me to catch on to these habits and at the beginning of obtaining my
license I side swiped a parked car because I wasn't paying enough
attention to my surroundings. In the car was myself, my friend, as
well as my newborn goddaughter. Luckily, it wasn't a major collision
however, a collision is a collision and although it didn't cause
major damage to the people in the car with me it did cause a
significant amount of damage to both vehicles.

This situation
could have been avoided in a number of ways. To start with I could
have been giving my undivided attention to the road for a few
reasons. My first reason was because it was dark, secondly my family
was in the car and lastly the car didn't have the best headlights to
start out with and when driving a car you should know the procedures
you should have to take to know your car and know the safest way to
operate it. Another way is my examples set for me could have paid
attention when I was around and not brought bad habits to my
attention. If I would have had responsible drivers I would have known
the importance of how dangerous driving can be if it's not taken with
precaution. Moving forward from my collision I have taken more
interest in giving my whole attention to driving when I'm behind the
wheel which is for the greater good.

According to USA
Today, 2018 was the third deadliest decade of losing innocent lives
to collisions where we have lost roughly 36,750 people. Although we
don't have an idea on how they got into a collision we do however,
have an idea of how we can avoid further accidents. We are at least
ninety percent sure this was due to at least one driver not being
responsible and taking precaution. Whether it be texting and driving,
drinking and driving, or simply just not going that extra mile to pay
your undivided attention to the road we need to learn that our
actions have consequences especially in driving. It may be one of the
most efficient ways to get you from point A to point B but it is also
extremely dangerous when you don't approach it with caution.
Therefore, everyone should work together in setting all distractions
to the side and if it's an emergency pull you and your vehicle to the
side to avoid any major and minor faults. This will make the world of
driving a safer community for new and old drivers!
