From my time of
Being behind the wheel I can say Driving is a big responsibility. I
believe that when having a vehicle one should be responsible. In the
sense it is important to drive but driving safely to reduce getting
permanently injured or injuring someone is to never drive under the
influence. When you have a vehicle you should be able to understand
the responsibilities that come along with it. With that I say people
can reduce the amount of deaths that occur while driving is being
well aware of your surroundings and not doing anything that puts
others lives at risk, including yourself. In general being aware of
your actions for others safety not just yours. Some steps that can
reduce the number of deaths caused by driving would be to reduce
phone use while driving behind the wheel. This is important because
people tend to get distracted while on the road and this can lead to
the injury of others , it does not take much for an accident to
happen and drivers should never trust the wheel to drive for
themselves. Always having precaution and keeping your eyes on the
road should be the way to go . From my past experiences and what I
can remember I have been in a car accident, it was not a major one
that needed emergency services right away but from what I experienced
I can say is always have your seat belt on . I remember my sister
driving and this car had hit us from the back due to the fact the
driver that crashed into us had gotten distracted and took her eyes
off the road, the crash was not major but it did leave me with a
migraine headache that lasts for hours. My sister had it worse since
she was not wearing her seat belt, it left her with back pain
thankfully she's all better now but I could not imagine if it was
worse or if the car could have been coming faster. Furthermore the
steps I can take to avoid major accidents is to make sure im not
putting anyone's life in danger. I think when it comes to driving you
must have patients since you are sharing the road with other drivers.
Keeping in mind that not all drivers drive safe but doing your part
in keeping yourself and others safe seems like a way to go.
