The importance
of drivers ed in reducing the number of death is to the highest
extreme. First of all, it teaches you how to be a responsible driver
and helps new drivers learn the skills that are essential to the safe
operation of a car – skills that may help a driver maneuver his or
her way out of an accident, Drivers ed not only reduces crashes, but
also traffic violations among new drivers. I believe that everyone
should take this education, if they want to avoid being in such a
deadly situation.
There are many
different steps to reduce the number of deaths related to driving
itself. First of all, you must keep your vehicle in top condition;
whether it be that your brakes are working properly, your tires are
properly inflated or even if your windows are clean. The better the
condition of your vehicle and the position of your body and your
mirrors within the car will give you more control when driving.
Secondly, check yourself to make sure you feel alert and clear
headed- if you’re overly tired, or thinking about an upcoming
assignment or even an argument you’ve had will distract you from
giving full attention to your driving. Finally, do not be under the
influence of any type of alcohol or drugs in your system; doing so
will only increase your chances of you causing the accident yourself.
So overall, use common sense and be safe.
There was a
time where my family and I were in a car accident ourselves; however,
we weren't the ones that caused it. We were driving on the expressway
during a thunderstorm when another vehicle behind skid right into our
car. Apparently, the person driving was speeding and couldn't control
their own vehicle. Our vehicle would not start because the engine had
been severely damaged. Regardless, no one was hurt, but were all in
complete shock, due to the fact that this was our first time getting
into an accident. We ended up paying up to $750 just to repair the
automobile.
Nevertheless, I
will not make the same mistake(s) others have made for the past
couple of years, and you shouldn't either. There are many ways for us
to be better, safer drivers on the road. First off, we should
obviously keep our vehicles in good shape. Then, we should put ALWAYS
put all hand-held electronic devices away. Next, we must keep a safe
distance for ourselves. Finally, we must minimize all distractions.
In conclusion,
drivers education should be taken very seriously and immediately by
everyone. Car accidents have caused so many deaths than anything else
in the world. However, we can change that. If we continue in
furthering this type of education, we can be better at reducing the
amount deaths or injuries in these types of accidents. Also, taking
the course itself will make us all better and more experienced
drivers. And finally, we can reduce the chances of ourselves getting
a traffic ticket.
