The
importance of drivers ed in reducing the number of deaths as a
result of driving is very high especially in teens. Teens taking
drivers ed are less likely to be involved in crashes or to
receive a traffic violation during their first two years of driving.
Teen crashes and fatality rates are highest at ages 16-18 so these
reductions are especially meaningful. We need to not just influence
teens and other to drive safely, know the laws and to always take
precaution while driving.
The
steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to
driving is to always pay attention not just to the road but also your
surroundings. The key points are to obey traffic laws, be
predictable, avoid distractions (phones, etc.), drive rested not
sleep deprived, and steer clear of alcohol and drugs. Do this and
you'll help make the roads safer not just for yourself but for others
as well. Just by following the traffic laws you can help avoid and
collisions, getting tailgated, or even fatal crashes.
I
personally have never experienced an accident but some of my family
members have and they weren't hurt severely but it not only affects
your insurance but yourself too because it may cause you to not want
to drive again or just in general to get in a car at all. In my
entire life I have never seen my parents or any of my family or
friends drive irresponsibly but that is why everyone should always
drive with precaution and be predictable at all time while driving.
That is why you should always try and help others if they are not
making great choices while behind the stirring wheel.
Some
steps you can take to be a better and safer driver as well as help
others become safer on the road are to try and avoid crashes at all
times, drive safely even if it's just backing up in your driveway to
be aware of your surroundings especially for children. Another step
to always take precautions on and be prepared for is automotive care
because you need to check if your tires are in good conditions and if
your car has enough oil for it to run. In conclusion when behind the
stirring wheel you need to be aware of your surroundings at all time
and always take precaution.
