In
today’s society, we are seeing a staggering amount of deaths by car
accident, drunk driving, etc. This is not a place we want to live in.
I believe that by taking steps to make better drives, we will be
making steps towards a safer society.
In
order to make better drivers I suggest that your driver’s license
should be renewed every five years by having to pass your drivers
exam and driving test. This will help people who have already gotten
their license, but it has been awhile since looking over the rules of
the road. I seem to always see people making simple mistakes while on
the road, and by refreshing these rules, there should be less
mistakes being made. Also, renewing a license will be beneficial if
there are new rules that have taken place in previous years. By
having to take a test on these new rules, everyone should be on the
same page about proper driving. Although this might be a hassle for
some, it will be better to have safer roads even if it might be
inconvenient.
To conclude, by making one
simple rule for everyone to renew their licenses, we could be making
tremendous steps towards a safer society. There will be more people
with the rules of the road freshly studied in their minds, protecting
our cities’ pedestrians and other drivers.
