The Road

Driving is a responsibility that not a lot of people can comprehend when they first start driving. Driving is not an obligation, driving is a right that you have to earn by the DMV examiner. When you drive you do not just have to look out for your life but also the lives of the people that are driving around you. A lot of people can not handle that pressure and it usually leads to either their death or the people around them if they do not have the proper education. Proper driving education can mean the difference between life or death, that is why it is so important to know what you are doing when driving. Proper driving education can reduce the number of deaths in driving by helping you as the student be able to navigate certain situations where you might be under a lot of pressure and make a simple decision that might lead to your death. There are many steps that you can take as a new driver the first one which is the most important is to get proper driving education. Another very important step is no matter what care you have, make sure it is in good shape, that means change the oil when it need it, repump the air in the wheels, and make sure the engine does not have any problems. Checking your car blinker are important too because 2 million people annually get in accidents because of blinkers not working properly. Driving on the road you hold your life and everyone else around you lives too. Driving is fun getting to go wherever you want, but the driver needs to have precautions. All drivers have to be careful because you are trusting the other drivers around you that they will follow the rules of the road. Also that they will not do anything stupid on the road. If they will cut you off, break check you, not paying attention on the road, intoxicated, or anything that will affect their driving performance and will cause an accident. Many drivers do follow the rule, but others will not or they do not know them and they are endangering themselves and others. Intoxicated drivers are some of the most dangerous drivers to be around on the road. Every day thirty-two people in the united states die from a drunk impaired driver. That is about every forty-five minutes someone dies from a impaired driver. Using those statistics 11,680 people die from a alcohol impaired driver every year. In 2022, 10,360 people died from a impaired driver and that is about twenty-eight people a day. Comparing that to today that is four more people a day die from this situation. Unlicensed drivers may not know the rules to the road and are a high for most likely to be in a accident. The consequence for a unlicensed driver that has been involved into a accident is all damages they will have to pay out of their pocket and even if they have insurance, the insurance will not help if they have no license or if it was suspended. If the driver has not been involved in a accident, but they were caught without one is fines they have to pay, being liable for driving without a license, and them losing their license. It is not worth driving in most cases if the driver has no license, if the driver is drunk, high and impaired to drive, or if there is anything wrong with the vehicle. Driving while on the phone is never worth it. Is a simple text message worth your life, the other passengers in the car if there are anyone else in the car, and the others around you. As in 2020 396 people died from being on their phone, that is one person a day dying from being on their phone. When driving and you pick up your phone, think is it worth my life and everyone around me lives to be put endanger because you could not pay attention to the road. It is best to silence the phone while driving so their will be no distraction and everyone can feel a little safer. As all drivers should have trust in others to follow the road. If driving with multiple dangerous situations like dangerous drivers they could unintentionally kill others on the road. It is best to know when to drive if waiting for alcohol to go down or getting a ride, but we all need to have trust in everyone on the road.
