My car skidded off the road, thankfully it was an area that was not on the edge of a cliff and my car drove down the embankment, nearly stopping before a fence. The couple stopped to check on my car and barely apologized. Being a responsible adult now, I would have made sure that this terrified teenager had someone to call or was able to contact a parent before leaving her on the side of the road.

I was furious that this older couple was so reckless. I was very traumatized, shaking uncontrollably to the point where I wasn’t able to resume driving and use my clutch. This harrowing experience left a lasting impression on me about the importance of vigilance, patience, and respect for others on the road. It was a stark reminder that even if you are a careful driver, others’ reckless behavior can put your life at risk.
