Always Wear A Seatbelt

I cannot stress this enough, WEAR A SEATBELT!! For everyone’s sake. Sure, it may feel more comfortable without it but it is what is going to make you keep your life. Many deaths happen just because of a seatbelt you never know what kind of accident you will get in, hopefully not one that throws you around or out of the car. The seatbelt was literally designed so that way if you get into a accident you won’t get thrown around or thrown out on the hard asphalt road at who knows what speed it can be as little as 30mph that can cause seriously dangerously serious injuries now imagine at freeway speeds going 60+ mph now that is guranteed death right there. I literally don’t understand why people still are ignorant about it nothing is cool about not being safe it’s reckless and idiotic sometimes it has it coming for people since you can’t follow simple safety procedures. I always keep my seatbelt on even if it’s for something as small as going to the store because you literally never know what could happen so best to be safe at all times. It’s illegal for a reason for your safety if not requiring a seatbelt was the case the seatbelt would have never been created. Even though it has been required for about 30 years since 1986 people still don’t follow the laws I’m curious as to why they see all these deaths and nothing changes their mind they don’t take it serious it’s sad because one day it just might not workout for them for example one day they are in a bad situation and they forgot to put on their seatbelt for whatever reason and boom in an instant someone dies or someone just gets critically injured then what..? You cant go back in time to put that seatbelt back on now you have to live with the regret of not putting your seatbelt on and you could have still been walking for example you may have gotten paralyzed or even worse death. Now you really wish you would have put on that seatbelt right?

MY EXPERIENCE: Trust me I know that feeling. There were times where even I was guilty of not putting on my seatbelt for example when I was a kid I was about 2 years old I was in the backseat of my mothers car me and my twin brother were goofing around as usual in the backseat one of us happened to have one of our seatbelts unfastened since we had already seen we entered our neighborhood so we got impatient and rushed to take off our seatbelts unfortunately there was a police officer who was watching us in our “fishbowl car” the car had no tint whatsoever you could see as clear as day our seatbelts werent on. My mother was too focused driving to notice that our seatbelts were unfastened so as she was driving into our neighborhood the police car came and blurped her but we were already in our driveway by then officer had issued a citation for safety and not wearing a seatbelt which I understand is against the law the officer had best intentions he was concerned and was doing his job ended up paying $1,500 for not prioritzing road safety at all times that’s a story of our mistake which I had to ask my mother to remind me what had happened.

Loss of a Loved one. All it takes is one of our loved ones/family members to be involved in an accident resulting of critical injuries or even worse death. Unfortanutely it had happened to one of our older siblings had been involved in an incident where they were goofing around in the outskirts of a town and they were in a pickup truck and my older sibling did not have his seatbelt on for whatever reason. Then they were involved in a crash others had bruises and slight injuries while my older sibling had broke his collarbone and fractured his shoulder. All because of a seatbelt could you imagine if he had his seatbelt on he would’ve never had to wear a neck collar and would have been bruised a little. Hopefully he learned his lesson now. Unfortunately not for my cousin in this case of don’t drink and drive DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE PLEASE. My cousin is no longer here because his friend was driving drunk and had crashed in ditch killing my cousin only because he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. His friends now live with the guilt of not telling him to put on his seatbelt and knowing they could have prevented his death.
