Just Takes One Second

Why
is it important to be a safe and educated driver? This is a question
that really needs to be asked in today’s world because more and
more people are dying in car crashes than ever before. The numbers of
people that have died in these crashes are at a global high. This is
a global problem that needs to be stopped. This is an issue that not
only affects the families of the people that are killed but the
community that they are surrounded by.

Safety
is very crucial when coming to driving. It can be the judgement
between life and death. About 90% of all car crashes are related to
not being safe behind the wheel. There are about 43,000 people that
die every year due to car fatalities by not being safe and being
reckless. But what is scarier is that it’s not only adults but
teenagers that do not have driving education or have driving
experience. For example if a teen does not have the driving education
they might make hasty decisions that can cause them to hurt
themselves or someone else on the road.

This
problem can’t be solved by just telling someone to be safer on the
road. To reduce the number of deaths on the road we must create a
plan to create roads safer for people that are driving on them. In
such ways as making stricter laws that will prohibit people from
traveling too fast. Another way we can reduce deaths on the road is
creating stop stations that can allow people to stop and take a break
or sleep if they need it because falling asleep on the road
contributes a big part to these high numbers of fatalities.

Driving
can cause very terrible pain physically and mentally. Through my life
I have experienced first hand the causes of driving without safety or
not having driving education. I have had friends and family who have
lost their lives or have lost their loved ones due to car crashes by
not being safe. Such as my cousin that lost his life when he made a
terrible decision and tried to overpass on a turn and caused a head
on collision that caused him and his girlfriend to die instantly.
These are the reasons that I have always tried to be as safe as I
could behind the wheel because I did not want to lose my life such as
my cousin did that fateful day.
