Importance of Safe Driving

I remember sitting in my room one day scrolling through my phone mindlessly. I distinctly remember my eyes widening with my eyebrows reaching up to my hairline. I had come across shocking news on my social media feed where a teenage girl had died from a terrible car accident due to speeding. Although I’ve come across many teen car accidents on social media, this one really affected me. She and I had a few things in common. She was around my age and was getting ready to graduate high school. I couldn’t help but agonize knowing that her parents would never see their daughter graduate and live her life. As I continued to read the article of the crash, I realized how important it is for me and everyone else to be very cautious and follow directions when driving. Ever since this traumatic experience, I have always kept my eyes on the road at all times. I made sure to follow the speed limit and look both ways at an intersection. By following these guidelines, I can lower the risk of a car crash that could possibly affect me and others around me.
