The Importance of Driver Education
The Importance of Driver Education
Driver’s education is very important, it teaches drivers how to drive responsibly and defensively. Driving to some people may make them nervous and reckless. If one has taken a driver’s education class, then we would have more careful and committed drivers. It would reduce the number of deaths as a result of educating people on the correct way to drive, read signs, obey rules and laws. Some steps to help reduce the number of deaths related to driving, would be a MUST for everyone to take a driving lesson. This will ensure that the driver is educated on driving, safety and laws.
I have been in two car accident as a passenger, I’ve never been in a car accident as the driver. It was very frightening, someone I was riding with was talking on the cell phone, holding it in one hand and driving with the other. This type of driving is irresponsible, you’re not able to give 100% attention to what you’re doing. The driver looked up and the car’s in front had come to a stop, she abruptly slammed on her breaks but it was too late, we slammed into the car in front and the cars behind us crashed in the back of us. This could’ve all been avoided if the driver wasn’t driving with distraction’s like talking on the cell phone. I have had friend drive while impaired, I get so mad because they don’t understand it’s just not their life involved if there is a car accident, it’s also the other person you hit.
There are many steps to become a better and safer driver, while helping others become safe also on the road. One step would be to enforce driving to have a license, many people who get into accidents or get caught speeding do not have license. As I said previously, make sure all first time drivers take driver’s education, this will help eliminate so many accidents. Take your time, drive the speed limit and make sure you wear your seat belt. We can help other become safer on the road also by paying attention to traffic lights, stop signs and yield signs. By keeping our distance behind the car in front of us, recognizing a turn signal and allowing the car in front of you to turn when, above turning not tailgating, slowing down to allow someone to get over, and obeying the rules and laws.
Steps for safer driving and making sure others become safe on the road;
-
MUST complete a driving class if a first time driver
-
MUST have a driving license
-
MUST have car insurance
-
MUST check mirrors and set radio station before driving
-
MUST obey the speed limit
-
MUST watch other cars from reckless driving
-
MUST never drive after consuming alcohol
-
MUST always pay attention and limit all distractions
-
MUST stay in one’s lane
