What
steps can you take to be a better and safer driver as well as help
others become safer on the road?
Some
steps I can take to be a safer driver are to read the drivers ed book
regularly. To get your permit, you must study the drivers ed book and
pass the permit test, most people after they get their license, they
completely forget out the drivers ed book. The drivers ed book has
important rules that should always be followed everytime someone gets
in a car. The drivers ed book was created to teach people the rules
of the road and how to safely operate a motor vehicle. Without
following these rules car accidents are more likely to happen
increasing the U.S. Highway Fatality rate. So if we all in a
collective effort, regularly review the drivers ed book, that will be
one step to help lower the U.S. Highway Fatality rate.
Another
step we can take to be safe drivers is to not use our cellphones
while driving. Many accidents are caused because of distracted
drivers. People are texting or calling and not paying attention to
the road is very dangerous not only to themselves but to the other on
the road. This relates back to the drivers ed book, it tells us to
pull over if we need to use our cellphones, because driving
distracted is very dangerous and could lead to a fatality.
