Driving is a Privilege

Cars, automobiles, motorcycles, these are man’s man-made greatest
invention for our world. Driving these great inventions are a
privilege not a right for someone to have, it is not for the human to
have the right to drive any types of cars if not careful and
qualified. We are in the era of teens driving thinking they could
without having taken the drivers test! This is a major problem when
facing the facts of how much deaths have been resulted. Technology
has also been an huge issue on number of deaths as a result of
texting and driving. These are two big issues that have been seen as
a result of multiple fatals of drivers.

STEPS:

Many studies have show that the problem towards deaths in cars are
the use of phones and driving without a license/intoxicated. Major
steps should be taken and enforced so we won’t have to see friends,
family members, and loved ones die due to the use of texting and
driving and use of alcohol. I suggest that the Very First step to
reducing number of deaths related to driving is to have all phone
companies have a lock mode when it enters A vehicle. This would be a
great idea due to the fact that the driver and passengers won’t
distract the driver and focus on the road. This would diminish the
deaths of people resulted to cars because it would allow the driver
to focus on the road and not cause an accident or be in a accident
since all drivers won’t be able to use their phones. Companies should
come to an agreement with their customers about this lock mode and it
would result to less deaths which could fix the problem. Alcohol is
the other issue that comes to play on deaths in vehicles/driving. A
step we could take to have this problem be gone is to raise the age
for alcohol.

Accidents always
happen, it cant be stopped in a day, but you never want to see any
type of family member in an accident. I’ve had to seen three car
accidents in my family. My older sister after a party decided to
drive in the rain and crashed a brand new Mercedes, this was due to
driving without licence. My father after work also experienced a
minor crash after his brakes werent working. Car accidents cant be
stopped after a day but with the steps taken that I’ve suggested we
can issue them and numbers will fall with accidents from cars.

The steps that I will take in becoming a safer and better driver is
drive only under the supervision of a california driver license
holder by my side like my sister. I will wait to receive my driver’s
license which is at the age of 18 and start to drive then. I will put
my part in helping drivers be more safe by informing my friends that
they should only drive after 18 by showing numbers of how many deaths
have been caused by irresponsible driving like they do.
