Unfortunately according to an article discussing this scholarship an average of 34,000 individuals lose their lives each year due to car accidents in the United States. Shockingly this number surpasses the death tolls of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. These accidents often occur because of speeding, distracted driving or impaired judgment – all issues that could have been avoided if proper safe driving habits were followed. The loss of these lives has effects on families, communities and society as a whole. By prioritizing safety and adhering to traffic laws drivers can significantly reduce the risk of accidents. Protect the gift that is human life.
