Your life’s most important while driving , more important than being on time , or speeding down the road just to be there on time. Your life is most important, it should be more important than anything. I don’t care that it’s past your curfew or you just think speeding is fun. Is it fun even if you crash and kill someone what if you killed someone you loved that was in the car with you. It wouldn’t be fun then if accidents are so common now that it could happen to anyone. You know even while driving safely a drunk driver could hit you , or someone that’s texting while driving. Getting in an accident may not even be your fault but even then are they dangerous. Even just walking down the street could get you killed if there’s someone speeding or texting and driving. Anything that involves a car is dangerous. That’s why the right security measures need to be taken to prevent some of these things from happening.

Driving safely isn’t just for you, it’s also for the people around you. Every Time you drive safely you protect those around you. Driving while drunk is so dangerous because your reaction time is delayed. Meaning it’s harder to brake if you need to while driving every second matters. Seconds can save somebody’s life. If you are ever drunk please call or uber someone it could be anyone that hasn’t had anything to drink. Could be family members , friends or even a ride share app. Getting home alive and well is the most important thing.

Imagine the call your friends and family getting if you died in a drunk driving incident. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I’ve seen videos of moms finding out that their child has died. The screams that they let out are so heartbreaking. Please drive to save your family , friends and yourself from this trouble. I can’t even imagine if I got the call that one of my friends died in a drunk driving incident. I think I will never recover from the guilt and sadness from that.

Imagine driving while drunk , vision impaired , slowed down reflexes which affects your brakes and steering ability. Your way of thinking is changed because it is harder to detect dangers on the road while drunk. Because your reasoning and information processing are also impaired while drunk. All these things while driving makes you lose control which often leads to bad injuries or even death. This is why the offense is so high when you get caught drinking while driving. Most of the time the police are saving lives by taking you off the streets while drunk.

Texting while driving is another way that drivers also get injured while driving, even leading to death. When you are texting while driving you aren’t looking at the road you’re looking at your phone. What if someone were to cross the sidewalk thinking that they were safe. Then you’re looking at your phone distracted by it. Then you realize way too late that someone is crossing the street. Try to stop the car but the drag still hits them and ends their life. You hurt yourself and someone else, someone that wasnt even in the car. This all could have been avoided if you put the phone down and paid attention to the road. This isn’t just your safety, this is the safety of others you matter and they do too. This is why we need road safety everywhere and speed limits.

There are many ways that you can be safe while driving. First , Never drive while high or drunk, always call an uber or even someone close to you friend or family member. Second , While on the road make sure you put your seatbelt on , driving mode on your phone on and pay attention to the road and not your phone or anything else. Everytime you drive your life’s on the line and you put everyones on the line. That’s why driver safety is so important and it should be important to you as well. We need to keep up with rules and regulations in place to keep everyone safe and in place. People should respect the road to stay safe and mostly stay alive. Remember , we are responsible for our lives when we drive on the road. I know that it may be hard for some people to follow these rules but because of them people end up dying thanks to them.
