Being a Responsible Driver
Responsible
Driver
In
2019, there is an estimate of 38,800 people that died in car crashes;
this can mean a lot of things, sometimes, is not your fault, or even
the other person’s fault, but we should know what to do when your
life can be at risk while driving.
Imagine
a world where no one knows the traffic laws; we would be in chaos,
people would be dying constantly because of how we don’t know what
to do in certain situations; and that is why, it is important to have
some kind of driving education before being sent to the streets with
a car, truck, etc. So, we can reduce the amount of deaths in car
accidents and maybe, one day, we could prevent catastrophic events to
happen; maybe, one day, we could have no deaths in car accidents in a
year.
Most
car accidents happens because of road rage or distractions; in order
to reduce car crashes, we need to be responsible; one thing that
everyone should be doing when entering a car is putting the seat
belt; this is one of the mainly things that everyone should do; but,
we need to stop any kind of distractions, this also includes your
cellphone or any electronic device. Also, when driving, if something
upsets you, we should stick with the road calmly and respectfully;
because, you could upset someone else, and if both of you are arguing
while driving, this will end up badly. Because on today’s society
behavior, I think we should implement social driving classes, to
teach how behave in certain situations, and if they still do it while
they are on the streets, they should get a ticket and points in the
license. Finally, if you drink any kind of alcoholic drink, or used
any kind of substance that makes your body and mind slow, you
shouldn’t be at driver’s seat at any circumstances.
I’ve
never been into a car crash before, but I’ve been in situations
where I almost got into an accident; however, I live in Florida, the
state with the most car crashes and deaths in accidents than other
states; so, sometimes I had situations where drivers did not payed
attention and almost hit my (or my parent’s) car; also, I saw a lot
people that did not respected the right of way laws or just for no
reason, started to road rage us for nothing.
In this society, there is
nothing that I can do to solve all those problems, but, I think if I
do my part, and struct people on how to be a better driver, we can
slowly see some decaying on the death percentage of people in car
crashes/accidents, all we can do, is just follow the basics rules and
be responsible; in other words, just do, what you suppose to do.
