Don’t Skip Drivers Ed

Drivers ed is a huge factor in reducing the number of deaths that are taking place in car accidents. It allows you to gain knowledge of the laws of the road, which can also limit your chances of getting pulled over and receiving a ticket. Many steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving. One huge step is making sure your seatbelt is secured. One of the leading causes of death related to driving often results in people not having their seatbelt on or secured. Another step would be to not be on your phone. Talking on the phone and texting while driving will often lead to many car accidents that can later result in death. I can only recall a few times that I have been in a car accident. The most recent time I remember being in a car accident was my sophomore year in college. I can just remember feeling sorrow, guilt, and just sadness because of what I did; I was mad at myself. Also, having to deal with the people who’s car you hit and having to deal with the insurance company can make even more contrite than you already are. One big step you can take to becoming a better and safer driver is to drive for others when you were driving on the road. What I mean by that is not everyone is going to be paying attention to what they are doing or what is going on around them at all times so it’s important to make sure that you are paying attention and staying alert so that way you can avoid a car accident.
