On the Road Safety

On the Road Safety

There are thousands of Americans who die each year from driving. Driver education is very important not only to protect yourself but to protect others on the road. Driver education teaches drivers to understand all the rules on the road and what can happen if they don’t follow them. It teaches them how to properly drive safely and be aware of their surroundings. Because one little mistake on the road can end up to be horrific. Not only does Driver education help and teach the student it also tells you the punishments that will happen to you if you do break a rule. There is no guarantee that driver education will stop Americans from dying while driving but it can definitely slow it down and save more lives. Driver education hands on teaches students how to drive and what to do and what not to do. So when the student can drive by themselves they will practice the same techniques and guidelines they learned in the course.

There are many steps to reduce the number of deaths related to driving. One has the person who wants to learn how to drive and enroll in a drivers ed class. The drivers ed class will be some days in the classroom so they can learn the guidelines and rules of the road and then some days be on the road with a qualified instructor allowing the student to have hands on deck and physically driving a car and seeing that driving is very serious and not something to joke about. Second the students have to pass their driving test outside on the road and pass their in the classroom test. Third, the person can get their license if they’re of age and passed all their tests. Fourth is the person gets a ticket and it’s for a more serious offence for speeding or didn’t stop at a red light then they should be enrolled back into a class. Driving is very serious and if the person driving makes a small mistake and ends up taking a life or seriously injuring someone that is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly, they made the decision to do the wrong thing and they should pay for it.

I personally have never been in a car crash but my older sister has. She was following a little too close to a car and the car in front of her slammed it’s brakes and she didn’t react in time so she swerved and her car flipped 3 times. She was ok. She got whiplash for a couple of weeks and the car that she hit just drove off. I can make sure I have nothing distracting me when I drive and that I’m aware of everything. I will take driving seriously and follow every rule of the road. I will do everything in my power to be a safe driver to keep myself safe and everyone else on the road safe as well.
