Drivers
Ed and Its Impact on Safe Driving
Drivers
Education is a way in which teens can learn the significance of
driving safely along with learning all traffic laws, signs, and
everything else. One major importance of
drivers ed in reducing the number of deaths as a result of
driving is that drivers ed provides an environment in which shows
young drivers how being distracted by something small can lead to
something major such as a crash. The instructors give you an
efficient way to learn how dangerous driving can become and a way to
reduce any type of accident to keep yourself and others safe on the
road. One step that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths
related to driving would be to show young drivers the number of
deaths caused due to distracted driving to give them a better
perspective on how often crashes and deaths take place because of
driving. Along with better educating them on the topic, instructors
should also show how simple rules such as no tailgating, pulling into
traffic slowly, and watch for others not enforcing any red lights or
major driving laws. I have never been involved in any type of car
crash personally but I have had other family members involved in a
car crash such as my father and grandmother, but my father used to
drive irresponsibly so I addressed him and let him know about how he
is putting not only my life but others in danger by not paying
attention to the road like he should and soon enough he stopped. Some
steps that everyone can take to be a better and safer driver as well
as help others become safer on the road is once you see someone not
driving safely, address them about it to let them know how dangerous
their actions could be to others and how their life is also being put
in danger, another way would be to every so often educate people on
how to be aware of things going on around them, and lastly show them
how emotions can affect the way someone drives and how it can
increase car crashes.
