The point of sharing my story with others is for them to hear the consequences of what could happen to them when distracted. The first step to becoming a safer and better driver is telling you what not to do—being on your phone by taking your eyes off the road can cost someone else's life not just your own. Also, do not drive while intoxicated; not only can it harm you but also others on the road. Instead, have someone else who is sober to drive if not don’t risk it. Second, be aware of your surroundings by determining what other drivers will do. Driving defensively is an important part of being a safe driver because you must always anticipate potential issues before they arise and can help avoid crashes and other incidents.
A way to reduce the number of deaths related to driving is not speeding. The faster you drive, the slower your reaction time will be if you need to prevent an accident and the longer it will take you to stop the car. So, obey the traffic laws and reduce your speed. The weather conditions can play a major role in driving-related deaths. Rain creates slick and dangerous surfaces for cars and trucks, often causing automobiles to spin out of control or skid across the road while braking. Winter months can be difficult. Snow can mix with water and become sloshy, and ice can be difficult to see and prevent. Driving while intoxicated is an important factor involving the increasing number of deaths and a way to reduce the numbers is to have someone else who is sober to drive.
The importance of driver education in reducing the number of driving-related deaths is to increase road safety and reduce the number of people getting killed each year from reckless driving. When attending a driving education class, you are learning what it takes to be a better and safer driver. They will teach you the basic laws, so you will understand the laws and rules of the road can help prevent accidents and allow you to be a safer and more prepared diver in the future. They will also teach you what not to do and what the traffic signs mean and the rules that follow them. When people don’t enroll in a driving education class, they are more likely to violate rules, get a ticket, be involved in fatal accidents or death, and get into accidents. Some young drivers are over-confident, which can lead to reckless driving.
In conclusion, I hope people will learn from my experience what could happen to them or a loved one if they take their eyes off the road, even for a second. I want people to be safe out on the road because many car accidents happen yearly, and I don’t want you to be in the same position I was in or worse. Some key things to keep in mind after reading this essay are to be more aware of your surroundings and not get distracted by your phone or anything that could potentially distract you from driving, driving defensively can help you prevent a potential accident from happening, and not driving while intoxicated. Following all the key points can one day save your life and maybe someone else's life too. Hopefully, this essay was informative and encouraged you to be a safer and better diver!
