Improvements and Advancements for drivers of all types

Driver education is critical in minimizing the number of fatalities and accidents on the road. Effective driver education programs provide individuals with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to drive safely and responsibly. By learning road rules, practicing defensive driving, and understanding the importance of maintaining focus, drivers become better equipped to anticipate and avoid dangerous situations. Education also emphasizes the importance of wearing seatbelts, avoiding distractions, and understanding the risks of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Ultimately, a well-educated driver is less likely to be involved in accidents, contributing to a reduction in road deaths. A reduction of driver deaths can be by applying some of these into our current system. The first is stricter Law enforcement. The government should enforce the laws of driving a bit more by making the penalties bigger. Such as bigger fines, license suspension, mandatory driving courses for offenders. Another would be public awareness in schools. Make it a class in high school to tech students before they get a license to learn about the road. This will help people know in advance the dangers of the road and students and required to learn about them. Another would be Mandatory Defensive driving course. In the test for driving, we learn about the rules about the road which does help, but we should also teach road defensive so young drivers know early how to avoid deadly situations before they happen. We are already adding this to vehicles but to emphasize on this is vehicle safety advancement such as lane departure warnings, automatic braking systems, and blind spot monitoring. For in some steps in order to become a safer driver he is some steps that drivers at any age can take. They are continuous learning about safety. Avoid Distractions such as texting, talking on the road, and avoid drugs and alcohol when you plan to drive. Another is always abbey speed limits and traffic laws. It obvious to if you don’t want to get in trouble with the law. Lastly is setting an example for others when you drive. The perfect phrase I think that supports this is “Monkey see Monkey do” it sounds dumb but subconsciously you will teach others how to drive good if you do it good too. A little about myself and if I have personally experienced such accidents. Nothing major just bumps to my car by others like 2 times and no major damage. I work for an auto parts shop, so I see so much damage that happens to cars. On of our clients that comes for parts often go into a major accident in his mustang because of a drunk driver. Luckly he was not hurt but it did major damage to his car and some ptsd to his wife. He had insurance and got the car fixed but his wife is still a bit scared of his mustang. Another one is when one of our drivers accidentally ran over a mechanic. He was dropping off a part and when he parked, he accidentally put it in neutral and ran him over. Lucky no damage was done to any cars there, 6but this could have been avoid if he had just paid attention. One last one that really stuck with me was when another driver who would often get high at work and drive. We constantly told him he has to stop but he did not listen, and it bit him in the butt. He was reversing out of a mechanic shop and there was a car there parked for sale. He was reversing and hit the car and keep pushing it till it got to the road. You know when you hit some and you just instantly stop. Most likely he was high and kept pushing till one of the mechanics told him to stop. He quit that day because he was going to get drug tested and we all knew he was mostly likely on drugs. He cried and had to quit. He was a good guy that made bad decisions. I know I am mostly being negative about car safety and people like to upgrade and modify cars so they can do cool stuff with them to show off to others or even to just feel better about their car. I love offroad cars myself and know the importance of safety. So, I also think the state or local government should help these car enthusiasts. One if by allowing these people to do car meets where they can show off their cars. Make it like having a fishing license where you go online and register your car that you have modifications on it and allow you to show. Another it is allowing these meets to have a big enough and safe enough area like at a track where they can burn rubber and do short races. People would register their car and do an online course and when they show up at these meets, they check on the car and make sure that its safe for it to do this type of driving. This would pull in money for the government to support these drivers and make it safe on the roads because you are providing an outlet for the enthusiast to show off instead of them doing it illegally and putting others in danger just because they want to let off some steam. These drivers spend thousands of dollars on modification and are not able to use them. Of course, they are going to show off even if its illegal. So instead of pushing these people into a corner help them and give them a chance to get off the road and show off at these areas/events.
