The Dangers of Irresponsible Driving

Driving education is something really important in our country and it really helps a lot to be able to reduce deaths by driving. Driving education is something that helps to provide beginning drivers with the information and practice necessary to be able to be a safer driver. I really do feel like driving education should be something mandatory for beginner drivers in order for them to be able to learn the skills necessary to be able to be a good and safe driver. There have been studies that have shown that by people taking driving education classes it causes for them to be in less accidents than people that haven’t taken those classes. In the article called Study: Driver’s ed significantly reduces teen crashes, tickets it states “Young drivers who have not completed driver’s education are 75 percent more likely to get a traffic ticket, 24 percent more likely to be involved in a fatal or injury accident and 16 percent more likely to have an accident”. This shows that driver’s education has real value for us in our country and it is something that we can’t take for granted. Everybody needs to be taking driver’s education in order for them to learn the skills and knowledge from experts that know what they are doing.

There are a lot of steps that can be taken to be able to reduce the numbers of deaths related to driving. Some steps that we can take to reduce the numbers of deaths related to driving is to make sure everybody is buckled up before driving. Other ways to reduce the number of deaths while driving is to not drink or use your phone while driving. I have had my personal experiences with texting and driving that made me realize that it is something that should not be done. Some other things we can do to become safer drivers is to make sure we don’t multitask while driving. I have seen cases where people are putting on their makeup while driving or are doing other activities that cause them to be distracted and not have their full attention on the road. We as humans always fall as victims in the belief that something can never happen to us and it’s not true. Many things can happen to us while driving and we need to make sure that we drive with a safety mindset in where we drive safely so we don’t put other peoples lives at risk.

I have personally have had my share of experiences where I have had friends or members of my family driving irresponsibly and I have also had my own experience of driving irresponsibly. My personal experience of driving irresponsibly really caused me to realize that driving unsafely is something we shouldn’t do. I was texting and driving which caused me to have a minor accident in the street with no people injured. That experience scared me and changed my mindset about this topic in that driving irresponsibly is something that can cause other people’s lives to be endangered. I have had experiences where I have been in a car with family members that have been drinking and driving or instances in which they are in such a hurry that it causes them to speed on the streets at an exaggerated speed. These experiences have shaped me to become the person I am today and some of these instances have really scarred me which has made me want to become a safer and responsible driver.

There are a lot of things that we can do as citizens to become better and safer drivers in our communities. Some things are that we need to start getting informed on the dangers of driving irresponsibly and make sure that we don’t text, call or drink while driving. We need to make sure that all of our passengers are safe and buckled up before driving and also we need to make sure to try and take some driving education courses if you are a beginner driver to also learn from experts about this issue. Driving accidents are real and something that needs to be addressed more often. There are a lot of ways accidents can happen but if we can try our best to prevent them by taking precautionary measures beforehand then it really helps our chances in having less accidents. We need to really start seeing the reality of driving and the risks that happen if we don’t drive responsibly. There are a lot of accidents that can occur that can result in the deaths of innocent people and that is something that we don’t want or need. Driving safely is something we can all do to be better citizens and to keep our communities safe.
